Your Family Matters!
Being a parent is one of the greatest joys in life, and it’s not easy! The good news is you don’t have to do it alone. That’s the heart of why parents dedicate children at Miracle City. You get to stand before your church and commit to raising your child to know and serve the Lord, while you also receive the affirmation and help of your church family.
We believe that parents have the most significant influence in the life of their children. But they’re not the only influence your children need in their life to grow in their faith. Dedicating your children is an opportunity to invite the Miracle City family to influence and develop your child towards Christ alongside your leadership.
Your kids won’t start following Jesus by accident. It takes your intentional leadership to consistently point them towards their need for a Savior and helping them develop a real relationship with God. Child dedication is not the same thing as salvation – that happens when someone makes the personal decision to repent of their sins and receive the grace of Jesus Christ. Child dedication isn’t making a faith decision for your child – instead, it’s all about setting them up to make that personal choice later by raising them in an environment where they’ll know Jesus, their need for a Savior, and one day choose to follow Christ.
Dedicating your child at Miracle City means you’re making the declaration to raise your kids to know Christ and model a Godly lifestyle as parents. Because child dedication is making a public commitment before God and our church, we ask that parents are:
> Members at Miracle City Church to model faithful commitment to a local church
> Engaged in a Home Group to model a lifestyle of discipleship
> Serving in a ministry to model servant leadership
> Giving faithfully to model wise stewardship
Because dedication is more about your commitment as the parents of your family, you can dedicate your child as a newborn or a teenager! Their age doesn’t matter as much as your commitment to build the foundation of your family upon Christ.
Child dedications happen during our worship services on Sundays.
